About

My creative career didn't begin in an agency. It began in a laboratory.

For eleven years at HortResearch New Zealand, later Plant & Food Research, I worked at the intersection of complex research and human communication, learning how to take what scientists understood deeply and make it legible, engaging, and visually compelling for the world outside the lab. It was the best possible training ground for everything that followed.

From there, nine years at Melaleuca and seven at dōTERRA AUNZ, building brand systems, campaigns, loyalty programs, conventions, and content across every touchpoint imaginable. Over nearly three decades, I've worked with talented designers, photographers, writers, producers, and event teams, directing the vision, shaping the brief, and creating the conditions for great work to happen. Throughout my career I have operated at Creative Director level, leading brand strategy, creative teams, and campaigns end to end. The title came later than the responsibility, as it often does.

I'm a Creative Director who listens more than I speak. Not because I don't have opinions, I have plenty, but because the best creative solutions almost always live inside a problem that hasn't been fully heard yet. I'm considered by nature, private by preference, and I've learned that the quietest person in the room is often the one who's actually been paying attention.

I'm based in Australia and work with clients locally and remotely.

How I work

My core discipline is taking complexity and making it visually absorbable, information that could overwhelm, restructured so that a viewer feels they understand it intuitively rather than having to work for it. That skill was built in science and refined across wellness, community, and lifestyle brands.

I use AI as a genuine part of my creative process, not to replace thinking, but to accelerate and refine it. I feed it information, push back on the output, and shape it until the result stops sounding generated and starts sounding true. The thinking is always mine. The tool just helps me get there faster.

A few things that are true:
I'm at my best early in the morning, with a good cup of coffee and enough quiet to think.

I believe the four seasons are one of nature's most underrated gifts, the way light, colour, and feeling shift across a year is something I never stop noticing.

And I genuinely love watching someone discover something new. The joy in that moment, unguarded, real, is one of the best things there is.
